A few years ago, I published a short and unexceptional blog post about the tonality of voice in music. It was too brief and simple to be reflective or interesting enough for anyone but me. Now, I'm publishing that article again on my new blog for re-blogging because it accurately reflects how much things have changed. See this article as an example of something that takes only seconds to do, but can make very substantial changes to someone's work. Most recently, Andy James has produced three albums with US singer/songwriter Rebecca Octavia Jenkins. Two notable tracks are featured on "One World", a compilation album showcasing the best works of artists across all genres performing songs about world peace. These tracks are entitled "The People" and "Let There Be". Andy James is an Associate Professor at Curtin University. His research interests include the relationship between voice, emotion and empathy in music. He is the Co-Founder and Director of Research for the Multisensory Research Group at Curtin University. Andy James has also been interviewed on ABC Central WA. Andy James founded and maintains a website referred to as "SongFarm". On this website, musical artists are encouraged to upload their music with the purpose of increased exposure through increased plays, downloads & Facebook Likes. Artist's include: Rebecca Jenkins, Rhiannon Fionna, Justin Ritchie, Ben Davis, Gabrielle Miller & others. Andy James is an avid follower of the Perth/Fremantle Dockers, Aussie Rules Football Club. Andy James has an active presence on social media platforms including SoundCloud, Twitter, Facebook and MySpace. In 2017 Andy James joined Instagram by posting relevant photographs related to his recent travels, art works and vintage instruments. He is currently using the username @tonalityandyjames . In addition to his own account he often collaborates with other artists, poets & vintage collectors who post interesting things either related to their business or simply because they thought it was a nice picture.
